Jim Richert
Jim was born and raised in Palos Heights, a southside suburb of Chicago. He attended Marist High School and graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Business, getting his major in Marketing, and minors in Economics, Business Administration and Philosophy. Jim then studied at John Marshall Law School and founded the Law Office of James G. Richert in 1994. He is a resident of Tinley Park, which was a big reason why we settled on our building in the downtown.
Jim first became interested in craft style beers in the early 90’s. As he recalls, his first micro-brewed beer was Anchor Steam. He was immediately hooked by the quality and taste from that point forward. The only problem was that micro-brewed beers were extremely limited in availability. Jim’s quest for good beer eventually expanded once the internet could make beer from other regions available to him. He found a store on the west coast that offered an entire array of both domestic and foreign beers that were unavailable in the Chicagoland region. He would order cases of various craft beers and have them shipped on a regular basis. It all led him to taking a brew making class in 2013… the rest is history.
Jim’s role is to address the legal, business and distribution aspects of the venture.
